Re: My thoughts on Dino Island

(...) Certainly looks that way to me, which means I *will* be buying the big set- not something I normally do for any theme. Actually, it looks like I'll be doing that multiple times in the coming year... oww, my wallet hurts already... :D eric (26 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: My thoughts on Dino Island

Good analysis, Mark. Love the set breakdown. A few comments I have: 1. Vegetation--I agree, I wish there were a bit more. :) I want this to have a Jurassic paradise feel, not just to be a stony island with dinosaurs. 2. It would be nice to have some (...)   Re: My thoughts on Dino Island

(...) Yes I did, thanks for asking. I finally got word that the Construction Site had some and recieved it a couple of weeks ago. (...) Some of the traps are kind of stupid, IMHO, but I think some of them are really neat. Plus, the thing I really (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: My thoughts on Dino Island

Hi everyone. I'm relatively new to .adventurers. I've only really posted once, in the past, trying to find set 5909 (which everyone here was extremely helpful with . . .thanks!). Anyway, seeing as how Mark wanted input, I figured I'd post again . . (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: My thoughts on Dino Island

(...) Good morning Aaron, I am glad to hear from someone. I struggled for hours last night to juggle the kids and household chores around reviewing those sets and I had hoped when I got to work this morning that I would have SOMETHING to look at in (...)   Re: My thoughts on Dino Island

(...) Hey, I am a fan of this line. I love the Indiana Jones feel to the Egypt sets, but I never fell in love with the *whole* Amazon line. I don't think I'll ever get the 5986 unless they cut the price in half, but I have all the rest of both (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: My thoughts on Dino Island

Surely someone has something to say. Bruce, Joseph, Craig, Steve.....where are all the adventurers? Richard, Lindsay, Mike, Ed.....you guys? Hey you guys, this isn't funny anymore. Where is everyone? It's gettin' kinda creepy here on Dino Island all (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  My thoughts on Dino Island

Well fellow Adventurers I have had some time (finally) to pour over the Dino Island scans. By the way if any one still needs them I have them. I must have sent out 40 emails since the brew-ha-ha over Huw's initial post! Glad to see there is some (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Dino Adventurer Sets

(...) That depends if the plane has interior cargo space. Like an enclosed cockpit like the real Indiana Jones plane- Ford Tri-motor. The Trimo had seats for 12 and two pilots. The dual open cockpit airplane requires too much suspension of (...) (26 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Dino Adventurer Sets

A while back we were discussing the need for a new aircraft type a la Indiana Jones. Anyone else think the new Island Hopper just might fit the deal? (26 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Dino Island Issues

I know this is my own message, but I forgot something. Look in set 5987, and 5975, I'm positive that Harry Cane (Gabarro?) got to change his outfit. That makes him the only minifig with a different outfit for every adventure. Thanks again, K@RL (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Dino Island Issues

Hi, all! I have some issues that I would like to bring up. First would be the colour of the dino's feet, consider: in 5987, the stegosaurus has orange feet in 5955, the stegosaurus has white feet, the triceratops has orange feet in 5975, the (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Oh my Gawd!! These sets are awesome!!

(...) Just to clarify: Unless Huw was threatened by TLC and kept that to himself (which I doubt), Huw chose to remove the scans from his own site at his own discretion after having considered concerns and suggestions which were raised. --Todd (26 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)
