  Re: Aijin's Vanship

Sorry: wrong link; should be (URL). Regards Peter. (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Aijin's Vanship

(...) I didn't know myself when I first saw it so I started a little search. It's obviously a vehicle from a new (april 2004?) Japanese animated TV series "The Last Exile", which is, according to the amount of hits typing Vanship in Google, a very (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Aijin's Vanship

(...) Very cool. But what is it? Christian (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Aijin's Vanship

Has anyone seen this? (URL) Aijin has built a really great MOC. Guess I just have to see the TV series now! It kind of fits into the "adventurers" theme too. Here's Aijin's folder: (URL) Chris The rest of his MOCs are kind of breathtaking too. (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Focke-Wulf Fw-61

(...) Hi Jan-Albert Thanks for the tip. I knew they were short but I was lazy - looking for the quick fix. But I will dig out the technic rotor and give it a go. Thanks again for your comments. Chris (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Focke-Wulf Fw-61

(...) Looks awesome, as all your MOC's One tip: the original rotor blades seem to be longer. Perhaps a Technic 3-blade rotor with some 1*8 tiles would do the trick. Other than that again you managed to capture the feel of the real machine judging by (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Focke-Wulf Fw-61

It has been a "mid-exam" productive weekend and the result is my version of the Focke Wulfe Autogyro Fw61. Like my earlier Kolibri I was hoping for a "as-near-as-damnit" representation. I am quite pleased with the result but, as always, welcome (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.military)

  Dornier Do 335 Pfeil

What happens when you spend less time on detail and more time on fun? Well, a stunted Pfeil for one thing! I was going for a Dornier Do 335 Pfeil (Arrow) and I ended up with what looks more like a boxy Republic Thunderbolt. Oh, well. Maybe a (...)   Re: Slippery Boyle's Medicinal Oils

Hi Elroy Brilliant! I love the way the sides of the van roll down to form the stage. Very authentic looking and a great addition to the Adventurers theme. Yeah, definitely love this MOC. Chris (21 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.western, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Slippery Boyle's Medicinal Oils

Introducing Slippery Boyle, Traveling Salesman, and his beautiful assistant Edwina! (URL) Slippery and Edwina travel the West, selling snake-oils and cure-alls to small-town folk who are easily parted with their money. Like all good Medicine Men, (...)   Re: Racing

(...) I wasn't able to find a set of rules but have browsed enough about Car Wars that I see two distinctly different options: A closed circuit with a pit. You can off course have different layouts from race to race An open road "rally" race from (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Racing and .dat Files

Hi Don I am pleased you started this thread/idea. There seems to be a lot of potential for "racing" and lots of ideas coming in. As a game that can be played at meetings I think it would be a lot of fun, bringing your own racer(s) and getting rated (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Racing and .dat Files

(...) Try tracking down a copy of Car Wars by Steve Jackson Games. Although it has a futuristic setting, it has a detailed system for car movement (acceleration, braking, manoeuvring, obstacles, hazards, collisions) and combat (which you may or may (...)   Re: Racing and .dat Files

(...) In multiple lap races, engine wear and overheating will increace the possibility of engine failure. (...) Yes, the inner lane at the curve should be one movement space, and the outer lane 2 movement spaces. Thus a total of 3 racers could be on (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Racing and .dat Files

(...) Going strictly by physics, you should be able to go faster in the inner lane (which would be accurately represented by having less spaces), but you'll have greater control in the outer lane because you're turning in a larger radius (you could (...)   Re: Racing and .dat Files

(...) This piece has to be my all time favourite. (...) Yes, sounds fun. Gotta go. Wife wants computer! Chris P.S. Sounds like good news on the stickers front! (21 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Racing and .dat Files

(...) I thought it enough. I'm going to try out the Technic Pin 1/2 on small wheel hubs tonight. (...) Could be as complicated as we want it to be. (...) Yes. (...) Fine! I was just about to squeeze you by telling that our chairman know about the (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Racing and .dat Files

(...) Hi Christian Authenticity is not my strong point when it comes to cars/racers I have to admit. So, the lever on the front was more of an artistic "add-on" that grew from an idea that a starting handle might be necessary. The wheels are on (...)   Re: Racing and .dat Files

(...) Yes, do you have any ideas for the rules? Anyone else? (...) Me too! (...) Maybe? (...) Neat. It somehow reminds me of a small Sd.Kfz.222. Are the wheels on springs? What is the lever/antenna/wiper at the front? Is there another tool on the (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Racing and .dat Files

Hi Don and Christian Hey, this sounds like a project! I am looking forward to seeing your track Don! Or will it be a photo-finish-MOC Christian? :) Chris P.S. I have begun work on the 1930's Paris-Dakar Rally idea. Basically using Christian's (...) (21 years ago, 19-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)
