  Re: Calling it Quits

(...) Excellent advice (and ironic that you cited who you cited). In this particular case, though, I think Frank *is* on to something. I think in this electronic age, we go through the cycle of -that's new, it's neat... wow, who'd have thunk of it! (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: I'm sorry

(...) Sense of humor? What's that? hrm... The instant I read it, I knew it was a joke, and pretty clever one at that. It's too bad it didn't go over too well. Maybe the Spamcake fumes are polluting everyone's air supplies... Adrian -- (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Oh, come ON! You're getting angry because someone has a different sense of humor than you? I thought it was funny, even though I was suckered by it, as well. (...)   I'm sorry

I'm sorry if anyone took my joke the wrong way. I assure you all, it was really intended to be in good fun. I know it was a breach in protocol to post to .announce and to start it a week early. I was hoping it would slowly get around to people, and (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Calling it Quits

(...) Yeah...and as you noted (and I mentioned in my message earlier) it wasn't appropriate for .announce. Its spilt milk though. I guess the fact that I know Mark gave me a slight upperhand, and the fact that he personally messaged me with the URL. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Calling it Quits

(...) I'll tell you both one thing. I happen to remember this: (URL) at the time shocked me but turned out to be true.   April Fools Day is coming

To All, Warning: April Fools Day is one week away. That means you should expect to be fooled by someone on April 1 (Sunday). Be prepared.   Re: Calling it Quits

(...) First off, when I posted nobody had said anything about the hoax. The first 'realization-message’ came about 3 min prior to my post. Therefore, I only realized that it was a fake after I had posted mine. Secondly, it’s not cool when several (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Calling it Quits

  Re: Calling it Quits

(...) These stupid jokes are starting to get on my nerves. I'd also say that this topic is entirely off topic for this group. It isn't fun (if it wasn't a joke, it's not fun, if it is a joke, it's sick, it's definitely LEGO related and therefor off (...)   Re: Web interface "quirk"?

(...) It could probably go in either, but since this is news-related, I'm more comfortable with it being in the .nntp group.
