| | CFD: lugnet.market.shipping
| [Crossposted to lugnet.admin.general & lugnet.general & lugnet.faq, with followups set to lugnet.admin.general] This is an informal call for discussion on the topic of creating a new newsgroup lugnet.market.shipping dedicated to: - discussions - (...) | | Re: Everything Lego links page administrator?
| Ben, Just by chance I saw this email. Yes my address has changed. I have tried to get through to Todd, but he is either very busy, or I am sending to a dead email address. I tried submitting a suggesting form from LUGNET webpage. I would love to (...) (25 years ago, 25-Mar-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

| | Re: Curator List
| (...) Yes. It's a good idea, especially for emphasizing groups that would most benefit from some attention. That *open* link could appear on the group's page itself too. We can do that once there's a curator FAQ of some kind for interested parties (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)

| | Newserver Help (!)
| Appologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm running short of options. I am currently subscribed to a number of lugnet newsgroups via email. However, with my current travel schedule for work, I cannot keep up. Having to swim through the excess (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.admin.general)

| | FUT bug?
| See this post: (URL) note where FUT is set. Then see the two posts below it in the thread. One honors the FUT and one (by Dan, who I can't imagine would actually make a mistake) doesn't. Do we have a small bug here somewhere or was the FUT set wrong (...) (21 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

| | Re: Ideas ready to be shot down

| (...) Larry, The thread you posted in was created by me to help the LUGNET community in a small way. Until your post I was very happy with the way it had grown. I count that you have now attacked me personally three times in three days on LUGNET. (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.finance)

| (...) Well, I was hoping someone wouldn't waste their time building just that list. Seriously, where does it get us? You missed my instances of a certain 3-letter word...are you sure you don't want to make a LUGNET page listing all of the violations (...) (23 years ago, 6-Aug-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

| | Re: Jonathan Wilson's posting privileges on LUGNET
| I agree with Larry P. on the signature issue - it IS nice to have, but I'm not sure it's super-useful, at least when using the web interface to read LUGNET. I ususally don't put a full signature on messages... just my name and sometimes a comment. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

| | Signing in being tied to posting
| Ok, I've broken down and put my Lugnet membership card with my machine generated password taped to the back of it in my wallet. So I can sign in anywhere I go until I get to pick my own password. Now, though, I want more, and I think other people do (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.admin.general) !

| I hope this is the right forum for technical issues. Anyway, I finally have posting privlidges through NNTP, but only on one computer. My Outlook Express is configured identically for here and for at home, the only difference being that at home I (...) (24 years ago, 29-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

| | lugnet.polls newsgroup
| How about a magical newsgroup for polls. Whenever a new poll is created, it appears in the group lugnet.polls. Anyone who tries to do a followup will have their vote counted. But the followups won't appear in the newsgroup. It could work like the (...) (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)
