Re: how to cancel a message (was Re: [MindStorms FAQ 4.3 How do I make a temperature sensor?]

Request to Todd to have this added to the implementation queue (perhaps with a relatively lower priority) I think having a way to cancel a message from the web (which perhaps was reviewed by a human to verify bonafides) would be a good thing. I (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.admin.general)

What is different from Brad telling us "hey Shop at Home got this pile of nice sets" and a (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.lego.direct)

The pros of LUGNET by far outweigh the "at the time was a good idea but now that it's only Todd and time marches on so, eh, whatrya gonna do?" missing membership (...) I received no less than 3 unsolicited e-mails concerning what may very well be an interesting Lego site, but considering one of them came to an address that I have *never* posted here or anywhere else and can only be found by (...) Ben, Just by chance I saw this email. Yes my address has changed. I have tried to get through to Todd, but he is either very busy, or I am sending to a dead email address. I agree with Larry P. on the signature issue - it IS nice to have, but I'm not sure it's super-useful, at least when using the web interface to read LUGNET. I ususally don't put a full signature on messages... just my name and sometimes a comment. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

I think this might be in the FAQ, I can't remember. If you created the message with a newsreader, there is a good chance you can cancel it yourself.
