Then while the price is still $7 or so, someone else bids $10.01 and happens to be 1 cent above you, but since the price is currently $7, the min bid is $7.50, and he can bid anything above (...) | (...) It's sort of a problem with proxy bids. The way eBay enforces a minimum bid increment is that the minimum bid must be the bid increment above the current bid.
