How about a medieval/castle trebuchet contest? It would take up a lot of room, but it would be a lot of fun too. Folks, For the recent TexLUG medieval siege weapon contest, I constructed a floating-arm trebuchet. (...) "thing". Then he says it's a trebuchet. Oh, it is? This brick-flinging giant hurled many a brick, and a paper wad. It was most impressive! Definitely a crowd pleaser. (...) Many thanks. I optimized the design for launch distance, and whatever points I got for repeat launch rate or accuracy were a bonus. I think Pat scored highest on launch rate, so the scores ended up fairly balanced. The videos came from the (...) (21 years ago, 4-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic)

Alright, I made some changes to the black falcon trebuchet and got it to fire properly. It currently will throw a 1x2 round brick about 2 ft ahead. Hello, I've been working on a couple of trebuchets. My first attempt was for the Black Falcons. It is very mobile and has a hanging counterweight.
