Many thanks.  I optimized the design for
launch distance, and whatever points I
got for repeat launch rate or accuracy
were a bonus.  I think Pat scored highest
on launch rate, so the scores ended up
fairly balanced.

The videos came from the accuracy phase
of the contest.  I re-tuned the trebuchet
to launch basically 90 degrees forward (vs.
upwards about roughly 45 degrees), pointed
it at a target, and let it rip. To my
surprise, I actually hit things.

The effect was really cool.  I think the
projectiles bounced once on the way to the
targets.  Kinda like that brief bit on the
Muppet Show where Animal takes up bowling -
overhand.  :^)
