That's very cool and nicely explained, but jeezopeetes those images were HUGE!

I'd love to see a movie of it being fired.  I'm sure it's an impressive sight.

Folks, For the recent TexLUG medieval siege weapon contest, I constructed a floating-arm trebuchet. Here are some annotated photos: (URL) the record, the trebuchet achieved the longest distance launch of the contest projectile (a glued 4x4x3 cube of (...) (21 years ago, 4-Nov-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.technic) !
