| (...) It doesn't need to be huge! You can easily fit 6 inputs and 6 outputs into a space the size of the current RCX. | (...) Depends. Infrared is very tricky for mobile systems, and a train out of sight (behind houses, in a hunnel) is dead meat in tems of infrared communication... A simple (still reliable!) Bluetooth system should be in the same price range as a (...) (19 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

| A question from germany (sorry for my bad english). Is anybody out there, who connected the IR tower with the FIRST PowerBook G3 (little colored apple logo, built in 1997, family number M3553, us-nickname KANGA, 250 MHz)? | (...) No you can't talk to the RCX brick using the Spybot cable and you can't send programming from a computer through the Spybot and to the RCX. The first is an absolute "No".
