  Bulk pieces

(...) On plates and bricks and normal stuff it sure isn't much, but I heard a story on RTL a few years ago from someone who'd bought 100 brown horses back in the late 80's when TLG was still doing these bulk sales. 100 horses sounds like a pretty (...)   Re: 40 New Photos of my city; More

Wow! Very impressive! I love the relief on the face of the mall building. And the flags are a very nice touch. You must have quite a bit of space to work with (and plently of bricks). A superb effort indeed. -- Michael Hopkins Visit my lego page at: (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

  Non-Lego Parts Available

I have recently acquired a double handful of non-Lego parts mixed in a batch of real Lego parts. I saw some Tyco and probably some Megablocks in the lot. Some of the parts are well used. A few appear to be broken. There are also a few modified (or (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Building a dome

(...) Depends on how hard you work at it. The finalist in <insert name of building contest> made a *huge* carousel, with the canopy made of red roof bricks. Very cool. There's a picture in the 1999 retail catalog that I got from CA last week. It's (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

  Trading black slopes?

I am making a black pyramid, and have purchased several of the black roof packs from S@H. However, to make it look nicer, I'd like to build it using all 2x2x1 45 deg slopes. (...) And why would having a few thousand of, say, any particular part stop the sale of sets?
