  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) At a guess I'd expect that it has to do with both target demographics and real estate. Chances are stores in the city are very expensive rent-wise, so having something outside the city is probably cheaper. As for demographics, I expect that (...)   Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) Thanks Dennis! It is big, but like the real crane it can be taken apart for transport, and no section is more than 36 studs wide or 130 studs long. And it's only about 15.5kg in that configuration. (...) Yes I had to buy quite a few pieces. (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

  Re: White Patrol Mech.

(...) (snip) Well I think it's COOL. Very elegant design, with an understated, effortless application of really interesting bricks (esp. the complex slopes). The mini-fig pod is masterfully done. I'd definitely pay ten bucks for this if I saw it at (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Going to Legoland with Binoculars...

Yesterday I was looking at a Lego Shop At Home catalog, and I noticed that the 2x2 windows were still available in white in bulk packs of 25. I was wondering why these were still here. And then I realized that this window is still used in Legoland (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 2x4 Brick model?

(...) I doubt this is anywhere near what you need for this project, but since everyone else is showing off their jumbo bricks, I figured I should toss up a pic of mine. The thing is...I didn't build it. And it's got a removable drawer inside, so the (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Samsonite LEGO - 005 Discovery Set

Lugnet needs a new guide entry for the following set: 005 Discovery Set Also, Lugnet has a date of 1971 for the similar 004 set. However, I found this reference which shows 1966: (URL) Gear Set (1966) 002 Motor Pak (1966) 003 Master Mechanic Set (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) I could post a reply elsewhere, but my comments cover more than one thing. I am pleased to see the convace slopes as wanted, as someone wrote, the 5205 (?), anyway, selection of roof tiles would be great. There is a selection now, but limited. (...)   Re: Spiderman Building with all the black steep slopes...

(...) Hey Gary, I saw the same photos you mentioned, and I am pretty sure they were made up just for the magazine. I dont see those as being sets anytime soon. If you look real close on the round window, you can see it is just strips of brown tape. (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Actually its the other way about. 30387 is wrong. More accurately, the subpart s/30387s01.dat does not match the guidance notes in p/clh1 and p/clh4. 0 // Placement on side of bricks; rotate accordingly, 0 // place on side 10 Ldu below top (...) (...) Thanks again, Richard & Jake. I think the results show how diverse our individual needs (wants?) are. For colors, I am surprised (and disappointed) dark red is not more prominent. For parts, I don't understand why black tiles are listed. They (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.lego)

  L'invasione degli ultracorpi.

Aaaargh! Aaaargh! (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)
