  Re: Cats and Lego

(...) You are so incredibly right on there, Mark. I lost my entire childhood collection of bricks (stored in one big plastic treasure chest in my mother's house) to a single cat with a weak bladder and an evil disposition. It's impossible to get cat (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.people, FTX)

Re: My first MOC in "bley"....

(...) snip Good day, John! Possibly I should be really glad about the bley-thing in the end (without any joking!). Since 1997 I have spent (by far) over 4000 Eur each year for new bricks (90% of these as MISB sets). Next to this, I have partly spent (...) (20 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

(...) Anthony Thanks. In some of the shots I put the tank on a narrow black pedestal and photographed it in front of buildings with lost of vertical shadows. The intent was to camouflage the supporting bricks. On accident, my pics came out so dark (...) (20 years ago, 19-Dec-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: 10152 Update

For all collectors who trusted your words of a "Limited Edition" of this set and bought it by thinking having a real rare and collectible set with the ever last bricks in maersk blue this announcement is a kick in their ass. One more fact not (...) (20 years ago, 19-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

Hi all, 1) I would like to mention a fact to this issue, which might help to understand the annoyance of nearly all German AFOLs (here on LUGNET and on 1000steine.de (see: (URL)). In Germany, the set was actually announced as limited. The official (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX) !

  Re: rarest printed parts?

(...) There are several named beams that would qualify as rare. Here's some of them: (URL) (warning big page) (URL) (warning big page) Most of those are 1960's or before.   Re: 10152 Update

(...) Yes, I understand - but did LEGO position it as a collectible? Officially, on their web site? I never read it that way. Jake's post (I could dig it up if it matters) clearly laid out that they were running the last of the existing Maersk blue (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Argumentative paper I wrote for College

Hello, I was recently given the opportunity to write an argumentative research paper on any topic I wanted so, of course, LEGO® was an obvious choice. Basically, I wrote about what I did and didn't like about the company and what I'd do to change (...) (20 years ago, 19-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Esso Garage

(...) Very nice Bill. I especially love the way you used 1960's parts with modern Lego. The original Esso Service Station #310/#1310 was produced from 1957 to 1966 as part of the Town Plan system built in the classic scale (door = 3 bricks tall). (...)
