Re: 1593 box photos! (was: Re: you guys noticed this auction? - Wow!)

(...) John's the king...he got the sealed 6806 and 6807, too, I believe. He would have been able to get it for $1200 or so (about five bucks over my max) were it not for some no-namer who dropped a $2222 bid at the last minute. John's original bid (...) (...) I was going to make a 1594 Space Station using the parts from 6930 and 6890, and post "scans" for April Fools. So much for that joke.   Re: 1593 building challenge (was: Re: 1593 box photos!)

(...) I actually did this last year, and sold the pieces, orig. manuals, and a color printout for the 1593 as a lot on ebay. Got maybe $100 for it (eh). Anyway, there are precisely four pieces left over, most notably the two 4x5x3 inverted slopes. (...) (24 years ago, 12-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.space)

  Good for the soul...

Here's a link I found on boingboing.net to a site featuring "really cool watercolor paintings of simple Lego structures." I found the paintings to be good for my soul. They were comforting, if...lonely, perhaps. There's a dream-like aura about the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.general)

  Re: WOW ~ #1593 Classic Space ~ It's here!!!!

First let me say, Thanks! I don't think many of us here at lugnet like to brag (too much!) about the stuff we have. Most of us just love Lego, so we're willing to make some strange sacrifices in order to get more. Unfortunately for me, I had to (...)
