Part Fix 3959 Space Gun  [DAT]

Since this part is on the PT, I thought I'd add the ribs. I used cone primitives (1-4con7 and 1-4con8, both on the PT) but if someone wants to supply me with appropriate torus primitive I'll use those. Please let me know if this is change of any (...)   My Thoughts on BrickFest 2002

Well, now that I'm feeling a little more rested (after spending a day at work struggling to stay awake), I thought I'd share my thoughts: - I really appreciated the airport pickup. Everything went smoothly (including watching TJ Avery hauling my big (...) (22 years ago, 23-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: Renaming of 2916.dat

(...) Train in my view is a very narrow group. There are a very few parts that belong in it. I would refer you to the PNLTC originated "diagram of train parts" that many train clubs use to discuss how easy it is to actually get started in trains. (...)   New minifig hand, part x983 (WIP)  [DAT]

I still have a little bit of work to do on this part but I thought I'd share my progress with you. For the hand angle, I use this post: (URL) think I made the cuff diameter too small (3 ldu vice 3.5) but fixing it at the stage would be too time (...)   Build Room (K8)

I'd like to point out that the build room (K8) was running out of display space toward the end. That's a measure of success. I took lots of pictures, watch for them. There were a couple ideas tossed out for Build Room Activities next year. Mostly (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

x983, Minifig Hand Improved (Final)  [DAT]

Well, I decided to go for the gusto and finish this off. There are 2 major differences from from the old hand: 1.) The Hand itself is tilted 14.5 degrees 2.) I changed the orientation to the center of the base of the cuff. This allows for ease of (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Nice job! I have two requests: 1. Rotate the hand 90 degrees around Y, so the wrist lies along the Z+ axis. 2. Add a comment line, showing an example of how to position the hand so the 'fingers' are centered on the Y axis, with the top of the (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
