  Re: tracking an IR beacon

(...) Hmmm...mmm... welllll.. if you are planning to use the GPUI series or equiv. as your detectors.. I think you may run into problems with attempting to detect critical time information about the modulated waverform. Namely, and I'm no expert on (...)   Re: NQC - ASM command

(...) asm allows you to put literal RCX bytecodes in your program. Most of the 'functions' in NQC are actually just macros that expand to asm statements in rcx.nqh. (...) To my knowledge, you can't to either of these from rcx bytecodes. Sound is (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

But you really need to know what type of antenna your feeding, the radio's frequency, the (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Almost Ultrasonic Motion Sensor

A big problem with ultrasonic sensors is the power they consume to create the ultrasonic beacon. I don't think the RCX sensor port has enough output to run one of these. I've started to experiment with the sound generator built into the RCX as the (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

RCX has a fast clock, was Re: Rolling ball clock revisited

Hello dave, (...) A made an experiment this night using a RCX 2.0, the clock was fast by about 10s per hour. I suppose that this problem comes from bad capacitor loading of the crystal used on RCX. Crystals need to see some capacitance to oscillate (...) (20 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Thoughts on Battery-powered IR-controlled trains

hi, Does anyone have a good idea about sound generating source. We are thinking of using Piezo transducers but don't know where to get them. Resistors (presumably metal film), are typically +/-1%, but capacitors are unlikely to be 'better' than +/-5%, and may be significantly worse than this (many (...)
