Switches vs. Turnouts (was Re: APOLOGY

(...) Not really. Let me clarify my position. I don't feel it's appropriate to suppress information sharing, and I don't think the originator of a thread has some sort of exclusive say about what is on or off topic. I'm not sure I care to comment (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

Groups set to l.build as well as this is a more general topic (...) It is my belief that this formerly was common practice as the 1x1 round plate was just about the smallest part TLG made other than flowers which also came that way. I have seen this (...)   Re: AUSTRIAN RAIL CAR

(...) I would tend to say not, as to me, the defining characteristic of a railcar (or a street car, for that matter) is that it has two trucks (rather than articulated the way the 4559 lead unit is) and that it contains the entire "stuff" of a (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Extra grey but not trans red confirms my theory, I feel... The sprue increases the weight and obviates the need for a "spare".. Thanks, Steve! (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) Agreed. Mine too. But unlike in LC (which used the same visor but the standard town helmet) the new helmet has issues. Either way for me is springy. One a little, one a lot. YMMV. (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New newsgroup lugnet.cad.dev

We're not gatewayed, right? That is, I got a message from L-CAD@LISTSERV.UH.EDU that I replied to and I went to the people still subscribed to the list, but it did not appear here. That's what I expected would happen if we weren't gatewayed. (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Whoops, I think I may have worded what I said poorly. I meant that of the e-bay auctions where I put in a serious bid, I lately have been winning about 20%. That was an off the cuff number, I have not analysed in detail. I'd say that eBay (...) (26 years ago, 11-Feb-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
