Re: Hello,I am a maniac, define terms

(...) Right, in exchange for the totally ridicuously tight/unrealistic curvature, we get layouts that can fit on card tables. Not a bad trade. O scale curves need to be 48 radius or bigger to look good. I find LEGO(tm) trains ideal for me (Ex HO (...) (26 years ago, 15-Oct-98, to lugnet.trains)

  Web interface suggestions

Is it possible to get a signature saved as a cookie so that my posts don't seem quite so naked? I'm behind, naturally, so sorry if this was suggested already.   Shading algorithm is being fooled by wordwraps

The algorithm that decides how to color lines is being fooled by lines that wrap around, at least in my view. See the message from Terry a few posts back.   List of articles taking longer to render

Now that this group has 350+ articles, it is taking a fairly long time to be rendered by my browser (due to a generally slow network connection today) Not advocating pruning(1), but am wondering if some sort of filtering of the article list may be (...)   A Nit about the "next article"

If you are at the last article, perhaps you should suppress showing a URL for the next article. When 368 was last, pressing the 369 URL while viewing 368 gives a page that says: "Article 369 does not exist in group lugnet.admin.general." which is (...)   .dat extension already registered

I probably can find this out another way, but thought I'd try here to show that once in a while there's something I don't know. :-) I'm running NT 4.0, and it seems that I already registered the .dat extension with WordPad (although I don't quite (...) (26 years ago, 15-Oct-98, to lugnet.cad)
