A round-up of sets not in the LUGNET Guide

This message (URL) a few sets the Tim Vattima inventories not in LUNGET, including 9354, 9356, 9361, and 9362. In this message (URL) Dixon reports three Jack Stone HTO sets, the last two of which (4613 and 4614) are not in LUNGET (pictures available (...) (22 years ago, 19-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.database)

Re: So, what are you guys working on?

(...) Well, castle have a competition running at the moment, so I don't really want to impinge too much on that. I was thinking of making it a bit broader. Still have the models with a sci-fi bent, but built with parts from, Duplo, Jack Stone, (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

I cant believe what Lego is doing to their toy line. First, they kill the town and city themes, second, they juniorized their sets to the point where a truck or car has only 10 pieces, then they introduce Jack Stone, without keeping another town or (...)   new lego sets? are they crazy?

hi, i just got my new lego S@H 2001 catalog and god am i PO'd. These sets are getting more and more crappier and expensive every day. please dont tell me that the new and stupid, "JACK STONE" sets are going to replace the town, or city sets. are (...) (23 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Lego admits minifigs are better than Jack Stone figs!

(...) Ha ha ha!!! I was right all along! Seriously, though...why did Lego even bother to concieve the concept of Jack Stone? Was there any merit in attempting to create a so called "action hero" that nobody has ever heard of? I think not. Anyway, (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.fun, lugnet.general)

Re: "New" MOC: Motorized Ferrari F355 Spider

(...) Fantastic (as always, Bram). I think your 8 wides look scaled to minifigs sitting down (they are a totally different scale sitting down than standing up, due to their short legs). And I know they're ugly as sin, but possibly you could use the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Don't forget about the S@H and their reissues of old sets like the Guarded Inn. And selling MOC's like Blacksmith Shop and bulk bricks and statues like Sopwith Camel and... and... :) Although I see your point I'm not focusing on the IMHO bad (...)   Re: Wesell's vessel can't stop top

(...) Mine is precisely like that. I mentioned something about it in passing in another post; it's very annoying indeed. The cause is precisely what you identified: The hinge piece's "tooth" is 90-degrees "off" from what you need to keep it shut in (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: City/Town Buses MOCs out there???

(...) If you mix with trains at all, busses and trucks should be 6-wide. If you build trains at 8-wide (or 10-wide), busses and trucks should be similarly wider. The good news for those who like 6-wide or even 8-wide vehicles is the Jack Stone road (...) (22 years ago, 21-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: wishin' on a star

(...) Well, a lot of the pieces you showed would make sense to complete the Lego system. BUT we are talking of TLC, so waiting for a solution that would make sense is most propably a waste of time. Unless of course they would need one of the bricks (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment)

  Post Christmas Shopping

(...) As well as Volvos and labradors, it seems like St Ives might yet become famous for cheap Lego. 40% off the very limited range, but this means that: [LEGOSet 6736] is $6. Cool, huh? I also bought [LEGOSet 7081] for $1.80, not great value, but (...) (20 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Nelson! Great job on this MOC. You made a rather healthy lookin PCS craft. Much like me, portly and white... Anyway I like the escape pod/cockpit and the intakes and the Jack Stone wings on the back. (I've used em too, but not on a "major" MOC yet) (...) (20 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Very nicely said Allen! I kinda feel sorry for the Lego development team who create Jack Stone. Cause everybody seams to be targeting their irritation towards this particular line.   Re: End of Year Thoughts

Is Lego going in the right direction? I don't know. I like the Star Wars and Harry Potter themes. Seems like there will be no new Arctic stuff. Is Adventurers dead? Will we see more of LoM?; doubt it. I don't get Bionicle but I guess many people (...) (23 years ago, 29-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)

Good Jack Stone sale at TRU

TRU has 50% off all Jack Stone sets from August 17 to August 23. But they had previously reduced many of them to about a third less than MSRP, so the sale will actually give you about 67% off. I got a <set:4608 Bank Breakout> for $10, and a (...) (22 years ago, 17-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Too much Jack Stone in 2002 Alpha Team
