Re: [My latest MOC] The lost tower

Arr! Piratin' is about ships, mostly. But if ye be wantin' an architectural critique, I'd say that it's a mighty fine tower, but the buttresses should be a bit thicker. And along with the concrete comment earlier, the plain walls are too shiny. They (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: the Hizzle Tizzle

(...) Hi Jojo, English cottages had heavy hewn timber frames. The spaces between timber posts and beams were filled with wattle (woven twigs) and daub (mud plaster). And the roof was thatch. The French had closely spaced timber posts. (...) (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: New Bit...

I got sick of regular cutoff wheels because of how fragile they are (at least the stone ones, though the fiber-reinforced ones are okay), and (...)   Insights from a trip to France...

Ok, I just got back from France, where (of course) I saw a few actual historic castles. I have to say I've never really seen them before, since I've only ever really been in North America, where we lack the abundance of Mideaval architecture that (...)   Re: Most wanted color other than those in the brick packs

(...) I build mostly houses, so... Dark gray. But if open to ANY color, I'd want brick-red (as in, the color of brick buildings). I would reeallly go nuts for that color. Picture them stacked and sandwiched with mortar-colored plates, add white (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Odd Discovery re: Ninja Walls

Hi all, When resorting my parts for my upcoming move (ugh), I decided to put many of the large "panel" pieces together.   Re: Harry Potter speculation

Actually, I think the Hogwarts Express is a VERY likely candidate for inclusion in the HP Lego series, but probably NOT as a 9v train line item.   Re: The Cathedral Project

Right now, I am planning to do the columns with 2x2 rounds, just for color consistency.
