  Review of 7035 Police HQ

Set: 7035 Police HQ Pieces: 418 Price: $50 Main Model: The main model is very dark, futuristic looking police station. I would say that this is the most "futuristic" town set that LEGO has ever produced. The ground floor entrance is made up of 2 (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.reviews)

(...) And they have-- in droves. Themes like Bionicle are attempts to win them back. Guess what? I have not the *slightest* interest in Bionicle, but I'm not going to rail on it. And why should I? It's not intended for me. (...) Hence Bionicle. (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

2001 catalogue in 1999 Shell sets

I haven't seen or heard much about the recent Shell promotion -- I thought that perhaps there was a limited supply of sets from the 1999 promotion that had been found. I opened the small sets today and was surprised to find a 2001 catalogue sheet (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.town)

(...) Video games were popular during the 80s, but not to the level they are now. Todays video games are more realistic are more exciting than they were in the 80s. More people own PCs today which means more computer games. It also means that when (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Does LEGO sell LEGO anymore?

Well, after looking at the latest catalog, World Tour Summer 2001, all I can wonder is: Does Lego make Lego anymore? So what does the new catalog have: · 2 page spread for Bionicle (makes one look at burps with admiration), new train engines (great (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.general)

Juniorization Lives, and comments on marketing strategy

Dear LEGO - From what we've heard we haven't seen the last of Juniorization. I'm very disappointed about the news re: the Jack Stone line.   The sad state of LEGO® at my local Wal-Mart (Tampa, FL)

I'm not the shopping type of person, but I do go to Wal-Mart for just about anything these days...except LEGO®.   Jack Stone= Playmobil anyone?
