  connecting Scott edwards mini-ssc to handy board
 
Hi, Does anyone have any insight to offer on connecting the HB to the scott edwards electronics mini-ssc servo controller? I wanted to connect directly to the HB through the onboard rj12 jack. (...) I second all of that. And I'd also recommend trying to get hold of a RIS 1.0 - especially if you're planning to do a lot of programming. Hi, I have tried to run a servo motor with an external power supply (4.8v).I have connected the ground lead of the servo to the motor ground port (Motor Power Jack) and the signal lead of the servo to digital 9.(Like descibed in Fred Martin's book: (...) Hi. This evidence pretty conclusively points to a power-ground short on your board. Here is why: * you are fairly certain it is not the RJ11 cable (the most common cause of blown R11's). * when applying charge pwr directly to the HB's charge jack, (...) (...) Yep, I can confirm (finally, now that it's past May 1). It is a modified RJ12 connector (RJ-12 is 6 wire phone cord connector).
