One thing though - can the pilot see over the front of the craft?

I was a little concerned about that. I did peer through the cockpit to get the
minifigs POV and see how much visibility there was over the hood -- and its
pretty limited. Short pilots will need to jack the seat up a notch or two. Also,
pitching forward a few degrees in flight (helicopter style) will improve
visibility a great deal. Nevertheless, the following warning should be welded to
the dash:
Manufacturers warning: Do not open up throttle until well above any
buildings or other obstacles. Failure to comply invalidates warranty. For best
results, close eyes and use Force.
