I wound up over-analyzing it, actually. See, before I even moved from
the first post, I said to myself, 'hmm, prolly a math puzzle of some
sort', and wrote down the cards... red king, black jack... then I
clicked on the tornedo. Then I realized I hadn't chosen a card, so I
chose 'red queen', and when I saw the next page... 'hey, there's still
a red queen here!' I thought. I was rather puzzled about what the
trick was supposed to be for a bit; then I read the rest of the
messages in the thread and took a second look. Enlightenment dawned.
