| I've found the Hall Effect switches that All Electronics sells to be quite useful. Their part number is the HESW-2 and they are 75 cents each, or 10 for $6.50. (100 for $60.00). | Often novices miss the single most fundamental point about soldering: you don't use the iron to melt the solder (99% of the time) -- you heat the component leads and let them melt the solder. | Another note on soldering.. Heat control is VERY important.. Not so much being able to adjust the heat, as having a temperature-controlled iron. | I figured out all of my problems were caused by using an ac-dc adaptor with the wrong voltage. What is the correct output voltage for the adaptor that should be used with the handyboard?
