Re: Automated password appraisal (Re: New feature: Article rating)

(...) Hmmm...not sure how to go about doing this... The way the checker achieves its speed is by looking up all substrings in its dictionary rather than passing every single diciontionary word over all substrings (which could take hours). So, for (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.admin.general) !

  Re: Automation Project Proposal

(...) GBC I think is a clever idea, from an organizer standpoint: It allows people to be very creative in different dimensions and involves participants not normally interested in Technic/Mindstorms. A castle or space fan could build a cool space (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Tanks or Power Armor

(...) If military history has shown us anything, it's that nothing is immune to landmines if it moves. It's just a matter of developing a landmine that's capable of being triggered by a hover tank (and trust me, if hover tanks happen, someone will (...)   Re: NELUG BrikWars questions...

(...) You know, a funny thing I've noticed, is that once all the players are pretty comfortable with the game, they take about the same amount of time to finish a turn whether they have 10 or 100 troops. Each person has a certain amount of tolerance (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Tired of being outgunned by pirates with deep loot-filled pockets?

There's a calculator for these things? Oh my, I've been working under the 1 stud = 1 foot system (based on the principle that each fig foot is one stud, and so one 'imperial' foot). I'm working from 'The Line Of Battle' (Conway's History of the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

I really like how the light grey, interspersed with the tan (on the barrel, for instance), looks - nice highlighting and use (...) (22 years ago, 5-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Old news from TechTV.

Found no mention of this here in .mediawatch, sorry of they are old old news :) (URL) List: Weird World of Lego Legoland takes on a creepy connotation in tonight's Twisted List. (...) Thanks! (...) Yeah, it's a pretty neat piece. Jeff Van Winden used it in his space ship shown at BrickFest last year. Unfortunately, it's upside down! :) There's a lot of bracketing behind the wall to attach it upsidedown without a seam. Even (...) Hi John, It depends on what kind of circuit your infrared sensors are in. An infrared diode or transistor can not be hooked directly into the HB. Certainly many people come to LUGNET to connect, but is it really a "home"? (...) (20 years ago, 23-Sep-04, to lugnet.admin.nntp, FTX)
