Interesting. I wouldn't bid on it though since it seems to me that the seller
isn't being totally honest. It's pretty obvious to me that the seller has made
some kind of transfer to put the Wolfpack symbol onto a cloak/cape from a Star
Wars set (given that the figure in the picture is obviously a Star Wars
figure). I think that had this been a real TLC item, there would be some red
trim.

Is there any evidence of that cloak/cape pattern being older than Fright
Knights? I know there is an older pattern which is a smaller cape.

Frank

As far as I can tell, it's probably a modified item.  Wolfpack sets were
issued in 1992, with wolfpack figs being minted all the way through 1994 (6105
Medieval Knights) Capes in that time period were shorter, with only 1 neck
hole (see Dragon Masters & Royal Knights)... it wasn't until 1997 that
the 'newer' style capes were released (Or suffice to say, I certainly never
saw them pre-1997). The only potential overlap is that 6105 may still have
been being marketed in 1997, before the 'new' minifig set came out in 1998
(6031 Fright Force).  However, knowing that Lego only creates a set for one
year (and just releases the made sets over a 3-year span), it's highly
unlikely that the print for Wolfpack ever was being used at the same time as
the new capes.  Further, the new capes don't seem to have been made in black
until 1999 with the release of Star Wars, which puts even more of a probable
time discrepancy into play.  Suffice to say, it doesn't add up.

Most likely, it's either been drawn on by hand (very well, I might add), or it
was scanned in, printed out to 'iron-on' paper (or some such thing), and then
put onto the cape. At any rate, those are my suspicions... I emailed the
seller to ask a bit more about the item, so hopefully they can tell us some
helpful info...

I am also quessing it is a fake. The cape seems to be a Star Wars cape to me also. Tim (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)
