  SuperTrain 2001 - I'll be there

(...) Well the deadline (to commit) is tomorrow, and with it being the largest model train show in Canada, if felt strongly enough that there should be a LEGO presence there that I have committed myself to attending and putting on a display on my (...)   Re: after action report

(...) Good to hear - remember your family is more important than any amount of LEGO. Spend time with them rather than us whenver they want to. That said, have you mentioned the Feb.17&18 2001 Calgary show? I was thinking that if you couldn't make (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: Two silly items

(...) A question I've long pondered (well, okay, not really THAT long.) is that perhaps we think all these new sets aren't great because we got used to not necessarily better but different sets. Like large A frame cars (Lincolns, Cadillacs etc) were (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I thnk we really have to stop misinterpreting people around here. Maybe there's an ESL thing going on, but I know I'm not in the 'anti-bringbackoldcolours' camp. I would definitely state, for the record, that if TLC chose to bring back old (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Don't feel obligated - and don't do it unless you want to. LEGO is our hobby - not a work commitment. I'm willing to handle it by myself. (...)   1:24 scale cars

I've built an old Mercedes diesel (w123 chassis) based on a car I own and I've had the model car for quite a while now and haven't really disassembled it yet. With inspiration from Ralph Savelsberg I've added new items like the doors, which is just (...) (18 years ago, 25-Jan-07, to lugnet.build)

  Re: force-dynamics

(...) That's funny Wayne - Ivan showed me Live for Speed well over a year ago, and he's been playing it ever since (Ivan, are you there?) - somehow I couldn't really get into it myself. Maybe my 900Mhz Athlon has something to do with it. If I (...) (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: DCC party?

(...) It's very nice. John gave me a ride to the dealership tonight and I took delivery of a brand new 2003 Accord LX-G. So far it's easy to drive, has all the power I'd want out of it, and is nicely built. Major highlights were: Honda's quality (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Actually, I'd say it the other way around. LEGO used to look like what Mega Blocks is focused around now, but MB uses more action elements in their sets.
