Help!!! needed with set # 8538, Muaka and Kane-ra.

My younger brother got the Bionicle set 8538 Muaka and Kane-ra for Christmas, and we've run into a bit of a problem: the legs of both creatures don't seem to have any way to attach to the body the way the instructions show, and there aren't any (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)

Hi Adrick I gave myself the 8538 Bionicle set for Christmas, so I think I can help. I believe you're talking about the arms/claws of the creatures. Basically, the 'fingers' on the dark grey liftarms (URL) supposed to interlock. Then, the axle with (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)

Hello Adrick, Although I don't have set 8538 I do have some general advice based on my own experience putting together complicated technic sets. The first thing I would do is go back through the instructions to see if you have assembled it properly. (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I have these sets but can't find them in the set listings. Help!

(...) IIRC, basic set 125 was what I received for my 11th birthday in 1975 and was my first LEGO set. I stored the pieces in the box up until I stupidly decided, shortly after discovering RTL in 1995 but before learning that boxes are important, (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Need Lego pro's help to ID set having pieces with "28" printed

I need help trying to solve a Lego mystery. Probably easy for many of you Lego experts. I have an orange, translucent windshield with a red sticker with #28 on it. Also a couple tall flat pieces with a #28 on it, and a fourth piece with a #28 on it (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.general)

  Help identifying a set

Hey all, Just wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this set? I can't find it in the Lugnet database and I really don't know anything about older sets. Could someone even identify the era for me? Suggestions on the appropriate newsgroup (...) (17 years ago, 5-Feb-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: looking for some set inventories...

(...) I just purchased the Imperial AT-ST (set 7127) and I love it! I would be happy to make an inventory. I will do it very carefully and ask others to double-check it, as it will be one of my first inventory submissions. It is likely some of the (...) First off, thanks to those who replied. I really appreciate your willingness to help us out. After reading the suggestions provided, I took another look at the model and discovered the problem: James had put the "liftarms" in upside down, so there (...)   Help to ID set with blue 2x3 ramp w/ space logo

Hi, I picked up a bunch of space sets in a garage sale. In the left-over miscellanous pile of pieces, there are several blue 2x3 low-slopes with the classic space logo on them. I browsed the lugnet set reference, but didn't see such a piece in any (...) (24 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)
