I am assuming that you mean you use Outlook Express with IE5.5, if so, hopefully this will help. If not, just ignore my post. :-) Under the Tools menu there is a 'Get next 300 headers' command which should help. There is also a 'get next headers' (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Also under Tools/Options/Read, you can set the number of headers to 1000. Unfortunately, the 'Get next headers' menu command or toolbar button doesn't allow getting anything past the first 1000 messages. If anyone knows a way around this, I'd sure (...) (...) Using Netscape 4.05 and 4.5, I found that to send a message to either RTL or Lugnet I had to first select the specific news group, and then hit "new message". You get mailed an NNTP article via SMTP, which you then import into an editor, munge the headers, add an 'Approved-By' header, and then repost via NNTP. There are tools to help with (...) Hi When I first try to reply to a message in lugnet.announce, an error showed up saying "...blah blah must follow-up to another group" I searched the help of outlook express for this but has no clue about "following-up" Could anyone help? Selçuk (26 years ago, 20-Oct-98, to lugnet.admin.general)

  RTL and Outlook Express
 
No matter what I've tried everytime I try to use RTL it defaults to the Lugnet section on my Outlook Express. Obviously it's NOT there. What am I doing wrong? Need help real bad here, please.... ;( (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Dang-fiddle-$#*@!!%&#!@!! I added the new account, news.virgin.net ... It did the download and there were NO newsgroups listed at all. There are least two people (probably a LOT more) who are having horrible problems getting MS Outlook Express to send the right 'From' line from the data they've given...they're stumped as to how to make it work, and I don't have MS Outlook, so I'm (...)
