  Railroad Dilemma

Greetings All; I have torn down my current city and am resetting it up for both a monorail line and two train lines. I want to have a passenger train one as well as a freight line. I have bought 4 train sets, plus a few train cars (...) (26 years ago, 24-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lego made a Caboose!

(...) It is small and has fewer pieces than other train sets, but I don't think it is "juniorized" completely. It uses mostly regular pieces and I think its low piece count can be attributed to its low price more than anything else. Definitely worth (...) (26 years ago, 24-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

The TOWN PLAN set of the early 1960's

I've mentioned the TOWN PLAN set of 1961-65 on many occasions. I was under the impression that it was only available by Samsonite (USA/Canada), whereas the Europeans had to buy the individual buildings (Esso Service, Garage, Church, etc) and the (...) (26 years ago, 19-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

Help with Serial Ports, Please !!!

Hello, I'm trying to port some working Qbasic code to Tcl8.08 (NT4.0), so I can embed it into the tcl-httpd, and make a robotic application controllable from the web (with the Tcl plug-in), but I'm having a hard time configuring the serial port (...) Hi folks, X-MAs is just waiting outside - a good time to see what'S going on in the desert: Over the last weeks I build a model of "Namibia's unique railway experience" - THE DESERT EXPRESS.   Got One of Last Freight Loading Station

Lego Railroaders, I just got my 4555 Freight Loading Station from a friend in Canada. Yes! It was one of the last sets in needed to compete my train collection until the new stuff comes out. Hi, I don't know much about trains, so I hope someone can help me. On Mother's Day, *I* got a gift from the parents -- a box of lego they picked up at yard sale for $2. It looks like very old trains (per Pause: perhaps part of set 113?). Let me list (...) (25 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Robolab COM Ports

I am running Robolab and Mindstorms on the same PC (WIN95). I have a modem on COM1 and a touch pad on COM2. In Mindstorms I connected the RCX transmitter to COM4 - but in Robolab the set-up screen only lists COM1 or COM2 as options. So using Robolab (...) (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I like a lot of the details-- lights, wreaths, etc. Though it seems, however, that you have already picked up the most valuable building tip you could get -- to build your train 8 wide!! {:^D As an aside, trains which run (...)   More outputs, thinking outside of the box...
