  Re: GMLTC Module Construction

(...) I will make up a web page showing all the data on module construction. For now, here are the hard numbers: 2x4's needed - approx. 7,500 (62.5 Blue Tubs worth) 2x2's needed - approx. 10,000 (50 blue tubs worth) Large Gray Baseplates - 6 Weight (...) (...) I am building 5 modules for my home layout and I, too, have built mine 45" deep and 30" wide. It's nicer to have those extra inches, IMO. In fact, if you notice, our train yard modules flare out to about that depth x2. Those babies are big (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Okay, here's the scoop... The La Crosse Train Show is March 18th and 19th. The GMLTC will arrive Friday afternoon (17th) to set up and will stay in a hotel attached to the Convention Center Friday and Saturday nights. We could fest on Friday night (...) And, automatically wind the clock after a certain number of hours... (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Yes, I think we all should "check in" and see who is lurking in here! Hmm, I guess if one posted then they would no longer be considered a lurker.... Anyway, thanks to Paul Foster for all of his work in organizing the web site and offering space. A (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.org.us.gmlug, lugnet.loc.us.mn, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: What are your 10 most wanted pieces from LEGO Direct?

Steve, I don't think that something of your scale is impossible by parting out blue tubs. There are 120 2x4 bricks in a tub. That would mean you need to part out 42-84 tubs. This is indeed a large task, but by no means impossible. I sorted 96 tubs (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)
