  Re: GMLTC

Yes, our rule has always been no minors. We drink a beer with dinner now and again, we talk about mature subjects... all in the context of... I don't ever want to face the day where I stand accused by a minor for anything and I mean this in the (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

A year ago I asked the Greater Midwest Lego Train Club if I could become a member. Their response was "We are a highly localized group in The Twin Cities/Minnesota area." I dont know if that was the response any other of you guys, but I live in (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I understand. We are all on a budget. I wrote a Drag and Drop capable AppleScript that uses GraphicConverter (more sharware) to scale pictures. You could use it to create thumbnails. (...) We have a minifig in a white tuxedo shout out, "De Rail, De Rail!!" ;-) Actually, the red window panels in front are removable, and the track runs exposed on the back side. In the corners might get interesting, though... -John (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: the first few pictures of the new GMLTC layout

(...) As J-2 said, the windows in front lift up, and we also build in 'access panels' at key spots around the layout. We're planning on running the subway trains using RCX power, at a very low power level - so we don't think there will be any (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: the first few pictures of the new GMLTC layout

(...) Actually, it looks brighter in person. The camera's exposure meter was fooled by the bright light coming down the stairway. (The stairs will open up inside the train station on the surface.) We've debated the subway lighting. We decided we (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I'm working on that very thing for the new GMLTC layout. I've got it pieced together (no pun intended!) in my head, it's just a matter of programming the RCX and give it a whirl.
