Actually, it looks brighter in person. The camera's exposure meter was
fooled by the bright light coming down the stairway. (The stairs will open
up inside the train station on the surface.)
We've debated the subway lighting. We decided we would rather have it
bright, so people can see the details that we built in. There will be a
second subway station at the other end of town - that one will be more of
the 'dank dark' that you're looking for.
