| | Congratulations (I think ????)
| Hi Fred There was a short article on the news last night about a new Lego robotics product that looked alot like the "lego intelligent brick" concept you were working on last year... A bit of searching revealed the site (URL) which mentions the MIT (...) (27 years ago, 28-Jan-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| | Re: Digital outputs.
| Thanks David for a nice explanation of how to add I/O using shift registers. Let us not all forget that the HB does have two uncommitted digital output ASIDE from the four SPI pins: PA7 (a bidirectional pin which is marked as digital input #9) and (...) | Hello everyone, From my mail yesterday: (...) This is a quick note of apology for referring to the Handyboard as "Randy Sargeant's Handyboard" (thus unintentionally downplaying Fred Martin's contribution.) | | Re: 8 bits A/D bus
| I am building a somewhat similar circuit (a high-current h-bridge for the handy board), although I only need to read the data lines. However, the same approach will work for writing to the bus. My circuit lives on a board which plugs in between the (...) (27 years ago, 14-Jan-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| | Re: trouble with memory

| well, the dim flashing of either yellow charge LEDs should not worry you. all this means is that the Handy Board is drawing some power. if you have the wall adapter plugged into the Interface/Charger board, simply switch it to "Zap" mode. now, onto (...) | | new version of 6811 Downloader for Mac
| Hi all, The 6811 Downloader program was starting to be flaky under System 8, so I fixed an odd serial bug. More like a work-around, actually. Anyway, if you use this program, and it is starting to flake out on you, download the new version. It's at (...) (27 years ago, 6-Dec-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| | Smooth PWM Routines!
| Julian Skidmore <skidmorj@cs.man.ac.uk> has implemented and released a new algorithm for performing the pulse width modulation on the Handy Board's motors, allowing up to 100 power steps rather than just eight! | | Re: Smoking serial/charger board...!!!

| Hi. This evidence pretty conclusively points to a power-ground short on your board. Here is why: * you are fairly certain it is not the RJ11 cable (the most common cause of blown R11's). * when applying charge pwr directly to the HB's charge jack, (...)
