  Re: Another Legend dies....

(...) Wow, that strikes me as as a little strange. Seeing the set re-released shouldn't damage your nostalgia for the set. All those happy memories are still there! I bought a metroliner off the shelf in 1995. It was getting rare at the time - it (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Tricks!

(...) Most of my MOCs are sculpted with Technic parts, and most of my tricks are very specific to the individual MOC (or related group of MOCs), so I don't know how useful they'd be as general construction techniques, but there is one trick that I (...) (22 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) I haven't been to the store at MoA, but I've been to the ones in the Chicago Area and they carry a number of things that other stores don't. Track (Straights, Curves, Points & Crosses) All (Most?) the Train Sets (I seem to recall they even got (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Ship Building Weekend at Scott Sanburn's - Trevor Pruden and Tim Courtney in Attendance

To All, Trevor Pruden, Tim Courtney, and myself had a ship building weekend at my apartment in South Bend, Indiana this last weekend. It was a great deal of fun! We talked on and off about it for a few weeks, and it finally came about this last (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: Riddle me this...

(...) Personally, it doesn't matter to me. However, the question was posed, so I answered it to the best of my knowledge. I'm less interested in sets (with a few exceptions) and more interested in useable parts than I used to be. BTW I don't have (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Soon to be Blacktron I complete!

How strange collecting certain themes can be... Before 2 days ago, I was sad that becoming Blacktron I complete seemed to be a far off reality. Then all of the sudden, the purchase of the last 3 sets (including the Message Intercept Base) at (...) (23 years ago, 29-Mar-02, to lugnet.people)

  Legend theory

Ok - here is my theory (and only a theory): Lego will produce all of these sets and voters are only choosing the order of releasing them. The company went to the trouble of making this survey with prices and thinking about which sets could be made (...) (23 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Loyal to .castle? [ROLL CALL]

Hello! Although I think none of you knows me in person (and probably never will): I'm here. Since I live in Germany[*] taking part in any .castle group real life activities would be a real problem. Nevertheless: I'm here. [*] I'm sitting here in the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Shop@Home

Hi everybody, I don't know if anyone still reading this since the last post here was 8 monthes ago, anyway I was yesterday in the chat with Jake Mckee (his nick name is Sink) from LEGO and this is what he said: [architect] ok, Yaron [Webrain] Hi (...)   Re: An actual ATAT site!

(...) You are so right!!! Now I just have to find a lt. grey 1x2 brick with a side pin. I also have to get more kits so I can have a few more B-Wings as well as the X-Wings and Speeders. Oh for a S@H in Australia for more parts, especially grey (...) (25 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  LEGO disappearing from small toyshops

Hardly any small toyshops seem to carry LEGO anymore. I've been told that toyshop owners don't like to carry it because it's too "mass market" and they specialize in quality toys. Also, I suppose it is hard for toyshop owners to compete with the (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

Now I'm seeing action figures and highly juniorized sets on the shelves and less themed sets. Not a good sign. (...) (...)   Re: Official KK and HP 2004 pictures

(...) The new HP sets go a long way to restoring my faith in lego. I was truly disgusted by the new KK and pirate sets. My expectations for those lines, based on last year's sets, was that lego was finally leaving juniorization behind. These HP sets (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
