Re: Why the absence of LD in their own newsgroup?

Who knows, maybe the quiet from Lego Direct has nothing to do with real or imagined friction from AFOL's, restrictive posting policies on LUGNET, pestering questions about the product lines and corporate policy, etc. I just figured they have been (...)   Ominous Parallels - or - "losing" the debate with the very first post(1)

I found this link on Little Gamers ((URL) and it bugs me a bit... because I think they're right. (URL) know I've ranted against the Patriot Act before. Nothing has changed my opinion. It's bad through and through. 1 - re the "losing" comment... read (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  You get to choose!

Working for LEGO Direct is always fun, but every once in a while a project comes along that just makes me giddy when I get to come here and announce it. Today, such an announcement is made. We would like to invite you all to choose our next LEGO (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.lego.announce) !!

(...) I'd have to agree with you there. My loyalty has been tested, and I hate to say, it failed. The MB Dragon sets have wonderful shields and weapons, the bricks are getting better even. The figs of course still suck... those Tin's are nice (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Color Change - Final Update

(...) IMO train track (you can ignore the cross track) and the current "retro" brick and plate packs, plus the 2x4 brick packs, would suffice. Those cover most of what folks tend to use in bulk. For most everything else we're just going to have to (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

  Re: Knights’ Kingdom™ is ugly.

I guess it’s time for a lurker on .castle to finally say something. There’s a lot to be said about Lego’s choices for what 2004 holds in store for the company, it’s true. The color change had many in a frenzy, and there’s still some sour feelings (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.castle, FTX)
