OK folks,

Here's some updates to creating the "LETTER" about bulk sales.

1) Send it to KKK (not Peter Eio) and Jeroen will forward a copy to each member
of the Executive Team.  We will have to coordinate this so that KKK (mailed)
receipt of the letter comes at the same time that Jeroen distributes a copy to
the Executive Team.

NOTE:  I always keep a handful of very colorful US stamps (Elvis Presley,
American Indians, Legends of the American West, etc) ready for envelopes to be
mailed to VIP's.  This is one way that the envelope always gets noticed, and
doesn't get lost in a big pile.  Europeans especially love anything to do with
the American West.  So trust me, the envelope for KKK will get noticed!

2) By making this a "world wide" versus a "USA" letter, we can include AFOLs
from all over the world to the signing section of the letter.

3) Letter will be refined to correct spelling/logic, remove references to New
Zealand/Australia bulk order policies of the past, removal of reference to Lego
banners, etc.

3) Inclusion of # of sets and parts in collection of each signee.

4) The Lego Super Website address (former Michael Dorneich website) will be
included, not a long list of websites (which was never my intention).

Now for an additional question.  Do I change the tone of this letter from "me"
to "we", or do I keep it personal (me) and include the list of people in the
Lego community that support this request?

Finally, for those of you who wish to be included in the list, please send me
an Email to:  gistok@umich.edu  under the heading of "Count Me In", and include
your name (as you wish to see it on the letter, as well as your (estimated -
guess if you have to) number of sets, and number of Lego pieces.

Unless someone else wants to take on this burden (I don't have the time), the
possibility of doing a "cut and paste" list of everyone's actual signature is
quite burdensome.  I would just as soon have everyone's name "typed" on the
letter.  But if you folks think it will be more dramatic, and someone wants to
take on that task, then go for it!

And I also want to thank Jeroen for the offer of help on his part.  I hope it
involves no risk on his part.

Well I can't think of anything else.  If anyone else can, then please let me
know (as though I even have to ask, heh-heh).

Thanks for all your help and encouragement.  Let's hope something comes of it.

A cautious optimist,
Gary Istok

Hai everybody,

You can count me in on that letter:

Jeroen Ottens, senior designer segment 7-16+

(makes a better impression than my set-count (<200) ;)

And being european. Why don't we send this letter to Kjeld Kirk
Kristiansen? Or even better, since the Fitness program started here a
direct mail service started. I can mail directly to the executive team. If
you people can make a final version with names etc. I could forward this to
the executive team.

Jeroen

PS This is on my personal account. This posting is not sponsored or
endorsed by the LEGO group. All the usual disclaimers apply.

PPS There is a change that the fitness mail has ceased to exist, I'm not
exactly sure.
