Re: New Survey up for LEGO

(...) Why does everyone keeps thinking the scale of TLC's 'system' Falcon is too small. It is dead on compared to thier X-wing. It must be that whole deal that the interior sets for the Falcon is 40 percent larger that the 'life-size' model they (...) (24 years ago, 30-Apr-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) You're right ... I think some smaller wheels would be more accurate in terms of size, but I had made the decision to go with the big old' tires 'cause I thought they looked cool. The overall effect is very similar to the original, but the (...) (24 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

(...) Let me connect the dots for you. Arguably, Elian's mother would have been better served if she could have flown from Cuba to FL in a commercial airliner. Or even taken a large passenger liner, or in extremis, a 50 foot fishing trawler. But (...) (24 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) James Howse has already established that LA are not interested in retail sales, and unfortunately they'd classify us as retail, no matter how formalised we became. I think this proposal is a dead horse. I'm still going to work on the LEGO room (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Why can't we have a Lando: Lego's Race policy

(...) I think the main problem with this argument is "white lego people". Even if Lego people do seem to be living in a totalitarian nightmare of uniformity (look at the number of cops they need), yellow is the colour of all lego humans (whether or (...) Maybe someone can help me decide what to do.... Here's what happened. Today I was online and one of those quick thunder/lightning storms came up.   Re: Why can't we have a Lando: Lego's Race policy

(...) Maxifigs apparently pre-date the "everyone is yellow" rule -- the Red Indians are literally Red. It's pretty funny, in a non-PC way. I'm a big fan of making minifigs as generic as possible (yay for smileys!). Give them character with their (...)
