Re: Old Parts replaced by Newer Versions?

Currently, my biggest pet peeve is 4212.dat, the 4 x 10 x 2/3 car base. The new version actually 4 x 10 x 18/24, the square section in the center has been sunk fruther in so that 2x2x2 town chairs in down to the first plate level. One long plate can (...) (...) J.D. Are you thinking about set Universal set #733? That had a lot of blue slopes and other blue pieces (along with a lot of red bricks). That set had the 2x2x2 "minifig dress" type clear slopes. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

  Old Tesco stock!

Just popped in for a pint of milk on my travels and found a store that had not labelled any of the recent Star Wars reductions. I mean none. They are now out of speeder bikes, snow speeders and land speeders, but I left about 40 Naboo Swamps and a (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Well, a couple of people let me know I ought to consider going to get it and even though I figured I wouldn't want it I guessed someone would so I sent my coworker after it.   Re: Light bricks with light?

(...) There are 2 ways to do this -- the quick way and the right way. The quick way: If it's not a transparent part, and if it's in a well-lit area, you can crank up the ambient value of the color the part uses. The right way: You want to replace (...) (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Old Lego

(...) Bill, Cellulose Acetate LEGO was made from the early 1950's until 1964, when ABS Plastic took over. Unfortunately it had a tendancy to warp, but a lot of decent pieces are still in existence.   Old clone "Byggefix"?

Hi, I recently acquired this: (URL) not sure the bricks pictured really belong to the box. The box is without date, but judging by the design it could be late 50ties or early 60ties.
