  The formation of Scot LUG

Hello all. For a while now I have wanted to attend a lego event. But even with Brickish all of the big events (minus ScotFest which I need to catch one day) are all in england. And I have no way of getting down there. So I have created a new LUG (...) (17 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Discount at local stores?

Bryan, Can you indicate anything about whether we might expect a very significant discount at the local LEGO store? (say more than 10-15%.) I'm trying to decide whether to leave space for bricks in my luggage for the way back, or bring some extra (...) (17 years ago, 19-Jun-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, FTX)

In addition to the recently-released 7996 Train Crossing (dual-crossover rails), the 7997 Train Station is now available from S@H for $45 and has 387 pieces.   Any Good Ideas For Custom Brick Separators?

We all know how handy the LEGO brick separators are. I was wondering if people have modified these tools, or developed their own custom tools for removing bricks? I have heard of (but not seen) AFOLs modifying the end of separators to work on single (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.build)

  Sale at Bucy's Bricks!!

Hello. I am trying to clear out some inventory, so I have marked a lot of parts down. Most of my Bricks are 25% off. All Bionicle parts are at least 50% off until I get rid of all of them. All Instructions and Gear are 10% off. Thanks I and look (...) (17 years ago, 7-Jun-07, to lugnet.market.brickshops)

  Re: Wheelie Pop

(...) Yeah, I have a 6 and 3 year old and the 3 year old would get launched 20 feet if one of those rides did a wheelie with scale force. I started with the generic bikes going around in a circle but I needed a little more of a challenge and my son (...) (18 years ago, 20-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.general, FTX)

  BeLUG Castle Standard

Hi all, I've recently come to build some castle MOCs. Together with a few other members of the Belgian LUG we wanted to create a standard in such a way that anyone can participate in a castle layout. I know the CCC standard, but found that it works (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jun-07, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  New mosaic style, CSF banner

Here's a technique I've been cooking for a while. I chose the CSF banner as inspiration for my first design in order to start with something at least somewhat recognizable. I consider the technique more painterly, so I'll be doing more 'art' with it (...) (17 years ago, 18-Jun-07, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Galactic Inquistion MOCs

(...) I'm amused by your response, because several kids on CSF lambasted the visible studs on top. I think you may be right, if I worked some corrugated bricks into the smooth parts of the side or something like that, it might look better. Thanks. (...) (...) I can't argue that it looks pretty messed-up, but I haven't figured out (or seen) a better way to depict a minifig who's intended to be a toddler--bigger than a baby, but not big enough for stubbies.   Re: History of wheel and tire designs

I will check some of my old 1962-64 LEGO Wheels and wheel sets (#314, 400, 401, 402), but I think what I state below is fairly accurate: LEGO wheels first came out in 1962. The oldest wheels had the red 2x2 wheels with gray tires, and white 2x4 (...) (24 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)
