Any Good Ideas For Custom Brick Separators?

We all know how handy the LEGO brick separators are. I was wondering if people
have modified these tools, or developed their own custom tools for removing
bricks? I have heard of (but not seen) AFOLs modifying the end of separators to
work on single studs, and jumper plates.

What I really would like to see is a tool to remove plates or bricks where the
edges aren't accessible (i.e. the middle of a studs out mosaic). Needle nose
pliers would do the job, but leave marks on the studs.

Any good ideas out there?

(...) Its seems to me that one of these would do the trick: (URL) Technic pieces have got a slightly smaller hole diameter, and so it should always grab on well. Hope this helps, --Peter (17 years ago, 17-Jun-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)
