Re: Anyone seen/bought a PAB Tub?

(...) This got me to thinking, so I ran some numbers (note that math is not my strong point, and I estimated a lot). A 2x4 brick at the online PAB is $0.16. Adding 3 sets of 999 (for close to the 3,000 parts that someone quoted) 2x4 bricks shows me (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jun-07, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) Holy TOS! I know this is (relatively) old news, but I just saw the movie and went on Lugnet to see if anything had been said about it...and man was it in spades! I can only but wonder and ponder your extreme craziness in building such a large (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Hi everybody, I really would like it if lugnet could update there news. The news that is on the home page right now is over a month old. I've researched some lego news and there is a lot of it. Please update the lugnet news. Lukas. (18 years ago, 1-Nov-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

And to be honest: the pictures are in fact (at least a little bit) his copyright. He re-rendered (...) (18 years ago, 2-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Anyone seen/baught a PAB Tub?

(...) About two years ago TLC ran an article in a in-house publication marveling at how we all manage to get upwards of 165 2x4 bricks in a large cup and reviewing various customer efforts to get the maximum. -Ted (17 years ago, 13-Jun-07, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: I'm going to The Wedding!!!

(...) Oh yes you can!!!! ;) I clearly remember my 700 basic set (which I got in 1972) had clearly marked right and wrong ways to build with lego! (The right way involved interlocking bricks, the wrong way involved stacking them up. They were clearly (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Patterns, simplified

(...) I'm inferring that you are talking about converting a scanned image into a pattered subfile for a part? Then, optimally, the process requires the following discrete phases: 1) Someone[1] scans a patterned part at high resolution into an agreed (...)   Re: History of wheel and tire designs

(...) Well my childhood and early LEGO years was the mid-late 70's and early-mid 80's. During that time the wheels you remember were already gone, but the ones that replaced them were nearly the same. The 2x4 bricks were black (I think the ones you (...)   Re: Anyone seen/bought a PAB Tub?

(...) For me, part of the "fun" of LEGO is the socialization aspect. I know all the LEGO Store employees by name, and they know me... we like to BS and throw insults back and forth. The environment is fun. I get to say "thanks" when people walk up (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jun-07, to lugnet.market.shopping)

I put them into cad so that I always have a record of exactly what pieces were used, and how the model was configured. There are some MOCs that I (...)
