Re: Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

(...) Seems to me they were acting entirely in accord with their return policy. Always read the fine print - (URL) "Custom items such as LEGO Factory models and Pick A Brick orders cannot be returned or exchanged." I guess it could be argued that (...)   Re: End of line : Buffer stops

(...) There are some nice ideas there - I particularly like the chequered stop marker. Here's my version of a very old British wooden type: (URL) The dark grey plate and slope aren't really part of the design, but they do give it a lot more stopping (...)   Working with large models in LDD.

Hello all, I am currently working on a mosaic using nothing but 1x1 bricks. My problem is that the its over 13000 bricks. This seems to really cause problems with the speed of LDD. I am using a Macintosh PowerBook 1.67 with a gig of ram. It was (...) (17 years ago, 16-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

  BrickFest 2007

a side and personal note to the community/those of you who know me: After BrickFest 2006 I was energized and encouraged by others to get back to work and refocus the event on the fans. Bigger does not mean better. Micro MOC's are a great example of (...) (18 years ago, 9-Jan-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest) !!

Re: The difference between hobbyists and collectors...

(...) agreed--it is subjective, but again, all of this was my opinion. But just as we can point and laugh about how the weatherman has difficulty predicting the weather conditions 2 weeks out, we can't then assume that the weatherman will be wrong (...)   Re: The difference between hobbyists and collectors...

(...) I guess the thing I'd point out is that collectors really do value their pieces and their sets as more than just the sum of their parts. Here's the thing: for example, if Galaxy Explorers were $20 a pop, they'd be gone. Anyone who was first on (...) (18 years ago, 8-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
