  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) So it sounds like a single loop should be no problem under most situations, since I'm not sure I've heard of anyone running three motors on a single train (there's the same issue with how much amperage a power regulator can push). (...) This brickshelf gallery has a pretty good example of it. The version I used is slightly different, but the basic idea is the same. (...) I'm looking forward to the old sets, my last taste of LEGO was in the 70's, and all my bricks from that time are long gone. Mindstorms have re-kindled my love of lego, and technics feed the machine. If the two technics sets are re-released, it (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) For me, the keypoint here is "for instructions". Anything that remove legibility to the image should be avoided. In both versions conditional lines are not rendered. Not a huge problem here, could become one on models with many rounded (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: Hypothetically speaking? the future of IR/RC trains

(...) **maniacal laughter** Bring back the 4.5 volt trains, with the good plastic track. That's what I'd like to see. And the cuuuuute little battery boxes! Bwah-hah-hah-hah-haaaaaah!   Re: What is Bley???

I think that overall light bley is more suited to more things than old grey (castle walls being the one possible exception) and dark bley is more suited to more things that old dark grey (...) Lego pieces that contain closed air spaces, like pneumatic tanks, would not be very happy in a vacuum. But most Lego pieces do not contain air and would likely be fine.
