Re: LEGO® Launches Battle Over Trademark

(...) From what I recall, LEGO received KiddieCraft bricks in 1947 along with their first molding machine. The bricks were (if I infer correctly) presented to LEGO as examples of what can be done with plastic injection molding. LEGO probably didn't (...)   Free Thomas the Tank Engine shirts (for a two or three year-old)

Hi All, Sorry to not be totally on-topic, but this seems like the place I'll get the best results. While cleaning out my kids' closet I found a couple of adorable TtTE t-shirts they used to love but are now too small. Knowing how hard it was for me (...)   Re: BrickFest: Classic Lego presentation/discussion

Hey, This sounds interesting. Wish I was going to be there. Maybe it's going away from your theme, but one suggestion would be to look at the evolution of the fig. Previous people built with bricks, to the "homemaker" people: (URL) the minifigs with (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jun-02, to lugnet.events)

  Re: Mottled Bricks and Plates!

Well, I'm going to assume they are "extremely rare" in comparison to the old days. Today, they probably only run through the molds 2-3 times to clean them (the # of elements in a mold run varies by element), whereas in the old days, it might have (...)   Re: Christmas Trolley in Metallic Silver (drool)

--snip-- (...) I remember how pleased I was with the brown 1x2 brick and 1x2 plate I got as horse filler back in the 80s. And green was what baseplates and trees came in. I can just remember when grey was rare. Of course those lucky dogs in the LEGO (...) (15 years ago, 6-Dec-09, to lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, lugnet.trains, FTX)

I think we are loosing sight of the purpose of LDconfig.ldr... The LDconfig file is meant to be a quick (...) (15 years ago, 3-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Christmas Trolley in Metallic Silver (drool)

(...) The painted silver parts can take a certain amount of abuse (I mean, the stuff doesn't flake off when you rub it, so...), and simply tipping over probably isn't enough to do much damage unless it's at high speed on, say, some sort of natural (...)   Re: Color page updated

(...) Sorry, but I really cannot understand the need to encode dithered colors. Personally I think that only colors used for parts should be coded, while, when you create a patterned part you can choose to use a "good enough" already coded color or (...)   Virtual Southwestern-style Train Station
