  4755 - Knight Bus Colours

Dear LEGO What has happened to your quality control? I brought a couple of the Knight Bus sets and ( as well as having a few missing pieces in both boxes) the colour of the new bricks are all over the place. There are at least 3 different, distinct (...) (21 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.dear-lego) !!

Fun with two 4559s and two 5542s

I picked up a 2nd 4559 and started into bashing them together. I built a new engine using parts from all the sets, plus bricks from some Freestyle tubs plus a couple Technic plates. I found that one of the drop center train plates wouldn't work for (...) (25 years ago, 6-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Naming conventions

If there is a naming convention I doubt it is official. When I was there nothing was refered to by name; everything was done by number. No one ever said "Chris, get on that fork lift and go get us 6 boxes of yellow 2x4 bricks." It was always "Get (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

I've been really busy here sorting out all of my new purchases and shipping out the winnings from my last batch of auctions, so I haven't had time to post anything new for a while.   Re: Our Friend, the Sun

Kevin, That was one of my original conspiracy theories about the new colors -- that LEGO had to change the manufacturing process in some way (regulations or whatever), so they formulated a new plastic that would eventually age to look like the old.
