Is there a way to reduce/repair scratches in clear parts?

Hi, I have several old Paradisa windows, some of which are well "used." Specifically, they are all scratched up. I have tried cleaning these with soap and water, and also with brasso, but nothing seems to help. I saw some product advertised on TV (I (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

I have found that I'm able to get a lot of scratches out of other parts with no ill effects. Now I'm not sure about clear or trans parts, though I don't see why not.. I have a compound we use for cleaning our guns after we shoot them. and it works (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Hi, Personally, I have no problem with the new colours. I can remember getting gray 1x1x1 clips in the mid-80s that didn't match the gray of other bricks, I thought it strange, but it didn't really bother me. My only concern with a colour change is (...)   Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Thanks for asking. The new colors would be great if thats what we had all along in place of the old colors, but we don't so I would have to say that I would rather buy a bucket of old colors rather than the new ones. On the other hand, if I didn't (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

info on some old bricks ?

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Thank you Jake. I am glad that the color issue is being addressed. In my opinion, the changing of colors is only one symptom of a larger problem at LEGO. LEGO cannot be everything to everyone. LEGO should be LEGO. It is much more important to be (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Lego has represented the new grays as an "improvement". I don't agree - they are merely different. For some applications of gray, they will work better, for others, they will be worse. Natural stone is a warm tone, and the yellowish gray old bricks (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)
