Re: While You Were Out on TLC

I would like to say a few words about a couple of things in this thread. I think the push to not use the word "LEGOS" comes directly from old catalogs from the 1970s and 80s. They use to have a paragraph at the end of the last page from Susan (...) (21 years ago, 22-Dec-03, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: LMC - update - wiring, off topic

(...) My facts are from Sweden, but I suspect we are following the euro norm. Old wiring is two wires - 'phase' and 'earth' - that's 220 (or rather 230) Volts in one wire and 'return' in the other. New wiring, old outdoor or wet room wiring have an (...) (13 years ago, 23-Feb-12, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Yes, it is OK in the US to pull wires horizontally. If they are more than 1 1/2 inches (about 3.75 cm) from the edge of the stud (which is 3 1/2" thick on interior walls) they they need to be protected by a metal plate so that screws or nails (...) SNIP (...) I've been thinking about this for awhile. It seems that in the last few years, the number of new molds per year that TLC creates has been consistently rising. For example, for 2004 it looks like they have pretty much phased out most of (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  LUGNET Outage 17/18 Feb 2012

Dear LUGNET Users, as you will have noticed, LUGNET experienced an outage on 17 and 18 Feb 2012. This was due to the main server having gone down under heavy load during a backup cycle.
