Re: Motivating CAD students to model LEGO (was prototyping)

(...) I am amazed that the architecture students would need any motivation to design with legos. Being an architect myself I cannot even fathom the thought! One suggestion would be to ask the students to try and model their previous projects using (...)   Errors in Lugnet Set Database

Is there a procedure in place in LUGNET for notification of set errors in the LUGNET database? Is there one for adding old sets not currently in the database? I was browsing some old 50's and 60's sets, and came across some errors: 1) 810 European (...) (20 years ago, 16-Aug-04, to lugnet.general)

What's actually the task of the moderators on BrickShelf?

Hello! A few minutes ago I stumbled accross this folder: (URL) "aircraft of the new german reich" Following the Up button in the folder thread I also found this: (URL) of Vereinigte Faschistische Staaten des Neues Reichs" And I wonder: What on earth (...)   Re: Sorting: Found my Rhythm

I recently bought three more portable drawer units from The Container Store, which has finally enabled me to sort out all my "basic" bricks and plates. I have them sorted by type (2x4 plates, 2x6 plates, etc.), but not by color -- my color vision is (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Home made weight bricks and train base plates

(...) Better still, avoid the dremel by buying second hand some old 2x4s, which have no tubes underneath. Fill with plasticine or similar denser material that doesn't get too hot (i.e. not solder), leaving 1.6mm depth free for the studs of the brick (...) (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts.mod)

  Re: New BBB parts

The new small wheels are just under 1/2 stud wide with a hub extension that is 1/16 stud (.5mm) extra. So the overall width is 4.5mm or about .56 studs wide. The hub extension helps the wheels fit the width of the track better. A standard 9v train (...) (20 years ago, 15-Aug-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Future LEGO DVD and Book...

Thanks to many of my LEGO collector friends, many new and improved LEGO images will be available in the current DVD download, as well as the companion download for years 1990s-present.   The mysterious "WDR" version 6661 Mobile TV Set...

One of the most interesting LEGO sets in recent times has been the 6661 Mobile TV Set of 1989.
