Re: Cave of Exile: Dark Secrets

(...) I was thinking about darkening them more, but decided to go for "more detail" which the darkening would have decreased. I might go back and redo some or all the photos when I have time. (...)   Re: Creator scourge strikes again!

Har, I thought of something much worse when I first saw the Creator figures: Lego could concievably re-issue a bunch of Star Wars vehicles in the new Creator scale, say, starting three years from now (as the Episode II sets are starting to (...) It's uncannily like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which has a the glass pyramidal pavilion embedded in its park-facing rear wall. Anyway, beautiful! -Erik (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

(...) I have done a lot of chasing around, and have some limited experience with tubing. Firstly, I haven't found anything quite like the Lego tubing commercially available. Secondly, be very careful selecting the ID. You need to select tube that is (...) (24 years ago, 2-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  maze contest

I'm a high school teacher and my students are entering a Mindstorm robot maze contest using LegOS. We have some code for a wall runner, but would like to see a more sophisticated algorithm to get out of a maze. Does anyone have some code they will (...)   What is the best Pirate set ever?

Now we all know that the Black Seas barracuda will represent itself very well here, It is the first flagship set, and one of the most detailed. But I want to know who really likes what out there?   Re: Monorail/Train Transit Terminal

(...) (taken to .town because it is more about buildings than trains) I actually favor the 3 sided building, for larger constructions. Not so much the lack of stairs (which I usually fit) but the 3rd wall allows you to have superman vision, and see (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Pneumatic tubing...

I have been using R/C airplane fuel line as an alternative to the Lego tubing. Its made of a different material and has a slightly larger O.D., but the I.D. is good, it fits well, and hasn't popped off (with moderate use). I'm not sure how well it (...)   Lego distribution problems?

Dear Lego, I always try to shop at locally owned businesses when there is the option to do so, rather than go to the big chain stores.   Great Wall of China - Reprise

Q: Multitasking, and reacting to sensors

I've downloaded NQC, and got it running. I have been able to make the motors run, to make them run backwards, then forward, etc. However... I can't get the sensor thing to work right.   Re: Monorail/Train Transit Terminal

I like the 4-sided building with an open-up roof because it allows for more realistic architecture. However, I think that I will eventually revert back to my classic 3-sided "shell" or "facade" architecture. This is because I have my layout in a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)
